This 1984 vehicle is pictured travelling along West Road towards the city during 1996, well
after the demise of the Employee Owned Newcastle Busways to the irresistible march of Stagecoach. Part of the deal was that the traditional Yellow livery be maintained for 5 years following
acquisition, for at least some of the fleet. Perversely, this vehicle sports Economic livery following its transfer from South Shields to Slatyford.
