This Leyland Leopard, masquerading as its much more numerous cohort the Tiger Cub, dates from 1964 and has spent its life in South Durham, here wearing the livery of Stanhope Motor Services. The L1 appeared in 1959 as a 6litre underfloor lightweight platform for 16ft 2in wheelbase coach design. Production ceased in 1965.
